Jeremy Braz
Jeremy had a rare gift for making people feel seen.
He was warm, funny, and deeply kind—the kind of person with an easy grin, a quick laugh, and a hug always ready. But he also knew how to listen. He was supportive and thoughtful, often offering the kind of perspective and advice that seemed well beyond his years. He loved people fully and without hesitation, and in return, an extraordinary number of people loved him just as deeply.
To his friends, he was Jerry.
Big Heart. Big Smile. Always All In.
Jeremy had his core “Wolfpack,” but his circle stretched far beyond any single group. Friends became family, and family was everything. Whether you had known him since childhood or found your way into his life later on, Jeremy had a way of making every connection meaningful.
Jeremy grew up in Rochester, Massachusetts, with his parents, Michael and Diane, and his sister, Michaela. His family was a steady foundation in his life. He was fiercely protective of his mom, shared interests and a sense of wonder with his dad, and had a close relationship with his sister that included its share of mischief and looking out for others. He loved his family openly and wholeheartedly.
Jeremy attended Old Colony Vocational Regional High School, where he studied electronic engineering and graduated in 2022, went on to Bristol Community College, and worked at Btech Acoustics in Fall River.
Engineer to His Core
Jeremy was endlessly curious about how things worked. If something could be taken apart, he wanted to see inside it. And if something didn’t exist yet, there was a good chance he’d try to build it himself.
Once, Jeremy decided he wanted a snowmaker. So he built one. And it worked.
That blend of curiosity, creativity, and determination was pure Jeremy. If he could imagine it, he would try to make it real.
His curiosity wasn’t limited to machines. Jeremy was a stargazer, something he shared with his dad. He held a deep faith in God alongside a strong fascination with science and the universe. To Jeremy, those things didn’t compete—they coexisted. He could talk about the physics of the stars and still be in awe of the heavens above.
Even as a teenager, he was comfortable speaking about his faith—sometimes in thoughtful conversations with friends around a campfire. His faith was deeply held and, like so much about Jeremy, something he shared openly with the people around him.
And then there was the other side of him: playful, mischievous, adventurous, and always ready for whatever came next.
Both were completely, authentically Jeremy.
Life Was Better Shared
In just 20 years, Jeremy filled his life with experiences, laughter, and connection.
He loved machines and motion—working on cars, riding dirt bikes and his quad, and later driving and riding his motorcycle. He had a natural understanding of both and worked hard to earn the money to buy the vehicles he enjoyed. He skied and snowboarded, played trumpet, gamed with friends, went to hockey games and car shows with his dad, and spent time hiking and camping with family. There were kickball games, board games, projects, plenty of jokes, and countless adventures.
But what mattered most to Jeremy was sharing it all with the people he loved.
He was loyal to his core and deeply protective of his people. His pack was wide, his bonds were strong, and he showed up—always.
A Life That Continues to Matter
Jeremy died on March 4, 2025, just weeks before his 21st birthday.
His absence is profound. But so is the impact of his life.
At Jeremy’s service, his uncle asked those gathered a simple but powerful question:
How are you different because of your shared experiences with Jeremy?
For each person, the answer is personal—a memory, an adventure, a conversation by a fire, a shared laugh, an act of kindness, a piece of advice, or the quiet comfort of knowing someone truly had your back.
Together, those moments form Jeremy’s legacy.
The Jeremy Braz Memorial Fund was created to carry that legacy forward—to grow over time by serving others with compassion, kindness, and hope; to support students through scholarships and education; to promote motorcycle safety awareness for future riders and drivers; and to respond to needs and opportunities in ways that reflect Jeremy’s spirit.
Jeremy spent his life building, learning, wondering, believing, laughing, loving, and bringing people together.
His life was far too short. His reach was anything but.
And through the lives he touched and the good done in his name, Jeremy’s impact continues to grow.
Carrying Jeremy Forward
The Jeremy Braz Memorial Fund is led by Jeremy’s mom, Diane; his dad, Michael; and his sister, Michaela. Together, they are finding ways to turn their love for Jeremy into something that continues to do good in the lives of others.
Inspired by Jeremy’s kindness, compassion, curiosity, and love for the people around him, the Fund supports scholarships and education, promotes motorcycle safety awareness, and looks for meaningful ways to serve the community. Events like the annual Car & Motorcycle Show bring people together in Jeremy’s memory while helping make that work possible.
For his family, every gathering, act of kindness, and opportunity to help someone else is another way of carrying Jeremy’s spirit forward.
